Recruitment Fraud

Introduction

At FGi Global Solutions, we take the integrity of our recruitment process seriously. It has come to our attention that fraudulent recruitment activities are being carried out by individuals or organizations falsely claiming to represent FGi Global Solutions. We want to protect potential candidates by raising awareness of such scams and providing guidelines on how to recognize and avoid them.

What is Recruitment Fraud?

Recruitment fraud is a scam where fake job opportunities are posted, and fraudulent individuals pose as recruiters or representatives of legitimate companies. These scammers attempt to collect personal information, and in some cases, request payments for services such as processing work visas or background checks.

How to Recognize Recruitment Fraud

Here are some common signs of recruitment fraud:

  • Unsolicited Job Offers: You receive a job offer or interview invitation without having applied for the position.
  • Requests for Personal Information: Scammers may ask for sensitive information, such as your bank details, Social Security number, or passport information early in the recruitment process.
  • Requests for Payment: FGi Global Solutions will never ask you to pay for any part of the recruitment process, including visa applications, background checks, or travel expenses.
  • Non-Company Email Domains: Official communications from FGi Global Solutions will always come from an email address ending in our official domains (e.g., *@fg-int.com , @fgi-solutions.com, @fgi-africa.com or fgi.af). Beware of emails from public domains like Gmail, Yahoo, or Hotmail.
  • Poor Grammar or Spelling: Scammers often send communications with obvious spelling, grammar, or formatting errors.

Our Official Recruitment Process

At FGi Global Solutions, we follow a structured and transparent recruitment process:

  1. Job Posting: We only post job openings on our official website, trusted job boards, and social media platforms.
  2. Communication: All communications will come from our official email addresses. We will never use third-party emails or unofficial domains.
  3. Interviews: Interviews are conducted through recognized channels, either in person, via phone, or via video conferencing platforms.
  4. No Fees: We will never ask for payment at any stage of the recruitment process.

How to Protect Yourself

To avoid falling victim to recruitment fraud, please follow these guidelines:

  • Always verify the legitimacy of the job posting by checking our official website www.fg-int.com or contacting us directly.
  • Do not share sensitive personal information (e.g., Social Security number, bank account details) early in the recruitment process.
  • Never send money or provide payment details to secure a job offer.
  • Report any suspicious job offers or communications to us immediately.

  1. Do not respond to the fraudulent communication.
  2. Do not provide any personal or financial information.
  3. Report the incident to local law enforcement authorities and, if applicable, report it to the platform where the job was posted.
